Product: In-Sight
Platform: All Platforms

Full Description

I am running PC Host on my system and I am getting stack overflow errors pointing to the NTDLL.dll. I am on Windows 2000. How do I get around it?

Solution

You need to truncate your Device Path in your registry. It is found in the registry (REGEDIT at the Program > Run prompt) at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE a SOFTWARE. For example:

Original registry entry:

%SystemRoot%\inf;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\VIDEO;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\AUDIO;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\MODEM;%SystemDrive%
\DRIVERS\NETWORK;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\OTHER;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\VIDEO;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\AUDIO;%SystemDrive%
\DRIVERS\MODEM;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\NETWORK;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\OTHER;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\VIDEO;%SystemDrive%
\DRIVERS\AUDIO;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\MODEM;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\NETWORK;%SystemDrive%\DRIVERS\OTHER

Changed to:

%SystemRoot%\inf
